One declared Jyotish convention
This calculator uses 27 equal Nakshatras, four padas per Nakshatra, a geocentric Moon, and the standard Lahiri ayanamsha. It does not include Abhijit or switch methods silently.
Place resolves the clock
The birthplace supplies the historical IANA time zone used to convert the local clock reading to one instant. Latitude and longitude do not change this geocentric Moon calculation; a repeated fall-back time uses its earlier occurrence.
